Pushpa Gujral Science City is the biggest project of its kind in Northern India. It is set up in 72 acres of land, on the Jalandhar-Kapurthala Road. . The students visited the fun science gallery, space and aviation gallery, amazing living machines gallery, sports gallery, energy park, virtual reality gallery, cyber space gallery and got the related presentations.
“Virtual workshop
of Science Experiments"
On
National Science Day
Under DBT
Star College Scheme
National Science Day is celebrated every year on February 28. This
day recalls the notable invention "Raman Effect" by India's greatest
scientist C V Raman. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for this discovery. Since
that day, February 28 is being commemorated as National Science Day to recall
the great discovery of CV Raman.

e- Workshop : Chemsketch – A tool to draw Chemical Structures
Resource person: Dr. Narinderjit
Kaur
Designation: Assistant professor,
PG Department of Chemistry
Organization: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, Punjab
The Department of Sciences organized one-day workshop on Chemsketch – A tool to
draw Chemical Structures on 16th April, 2021 at 11:00 am. under
DBT Star College Scheme.
The resource person Dr. Narinderjit Kaur discussed the origin of chemsketch as a chemical drawing
tool. Chemsketch has steadily evolved to become the leading
chemically-intelligent solution for multiple disciplines, from specialty
chemistry to pharmaceutical drug discovery. It can also be used to obtain chemical analysis
information such as molecular properties and predicted 1H and 13C NMR
shifts. It will also help to understand the
fundamentals of computational/theoretical chemistry and exposure of research.
